Dear parent, can you believe it’s almost time for your precious little one to turn one year old? It feels like just yesterday they were cradled in your arms, a tiny bundle of joy. You’ve seen them grow, heard their first giggles, and held them close during late nights. Now, as they take their first steps towards independence, you can’t help but marvel at the incredible person they’re becoming. Your love for them deepens with each passing day, and it’s a gentle reminder to treasure these fleeting moments as they embark on an amazing journey ahead.
A cake smash photo session for your one-year-old is a delightful and enchanting experience that celebrates this important milestone in your child’s life. The experience
1.Planning
When planning your one year old/cake smash photo session, please reach out to us ahead of time (couple of months before the big day). I usually schedule cake smash photo session about 2 weeks before the birthday, or earlier if you would like your prints to be ready before the date.
We will discuss the theme of the session ( it could be anything that your baby or yourself like- Mermaid, Baby shark, Princess, dinosaurs, unicorns, Mickey Mouse, Fairy, Butterflies, pirate, sailor, trucks etc). Or we can do beautiful balloon garland of your preferred colors. Set up can be as whimsical or as simple as you prefer. We will also discuss the outfits for the baby and parents (if you would like to include couple of family photos).
2.Session
One year old photo session usually lasts about 1- 1.5 hours. We start with a themed setup, then baby “smashing the cake”, then baby taking bath in our adorable tiny bathtub. We can use the same setup or switch to a different one, such as duckies which has been chosen by many parents.
After the clean up, we will take additional photos of the baby in a different outfit and backdrop, followed by family photos if you would like to.
3.Reveal
The reveal of your photo session images is a special moment that I take great care to make it perfect for you. After the session, I will carefully edit and retouch a selection of the best images and schedule a time for you to come in to the studio to view the final images. You will watch a slide show with your beautiful images on a large screen and then go through them individually.
I will help you choose your favorite images and guide you through the process of selecting the perfect wall art for your home. I will present you with different options, such as canvas prints, metal prints, and acrylic prints, in various sizes and styles. You can also choose to purchase digital images or a photo album.
I understand that this is a special moment for you and your family, and we want to make it as enjoyable and memorable as possible. Please let me know if you have any special requests or needs, I will do my best to accommodate them and make the reveal experience as special as possible.
